Chairman

Mary Dudley serves as chairman of the Dudley Foundation board and assists with the Foundation's communication, succession, and collaboration efforts. She is a partner in Dudley Investments LLC, a venture capital firm that funds Wisconsin businesses, and KG-Ventures LLC, a management consulting and investment firm.

Her early career was spent as a journalist with the Austin American-Statesman, where she was recognized for excellence in medical reporting. It was in Austin, Texas, that she helped build a $10 million technology practice for a large regional advertising and marketing firm. Mary’s background also includes working with Regis McKenna, Inc., nationally recognized as a leading marketing consulting firm to the world’s best known technology companies.

For 20 years, she owned NEWS+ Communications, a public relations and media coaching company that helped technology executives explain their products to reporters, customers, and investors. The firm worked with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50, including Hewlett Packard’s High Performance Computing Group, Convey Computer, Exelon, Siemens, Verizon, and Fujitsu.

Her volunteer and philanthropic interests include arts and culture, women’s organizations, and economic development.

Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas Christian University and a Master of Theological Studies from Saint Norbert College. She lives in Southlake, Texas, with her husband, Greg Wortman.
