Who is eligible to apply for a grant from The Dudley Foundation?

An applicant must be a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and should not be a private foundation as defined in section 509(a) of the IRS code. The Dudley Foundation does not make grants to individuals or private businesses.

Explain your geographic funding restrictions.

The Dudley Foundation funds nonprofits in Wausau, Marathon County, and Wisconsin. We do not fund any request outside of the state of Wisconsin as per the intention of our founder, Dick Dudley, a proud native son of the state.

What size grants do you make?

The Dudley Foundation will make grants ranging in size from $1,000 to $25,000. If a grant request is $10,000 or more we ask that the grantee contact the Dudley Foundation at 715-849-5729 prior to applying.

What are the deadlines for submitting grant requests?

The Dudley Foundation's Board of Directors meets quarterly on the second Wednesday of September (Q1), December (Q2), March (Q3), and June (Q4). Grant application deadlines are on the "1st" of the aforementioned months prior to each board meeting.
